A fast-paced commercial mural project that grew from a neighbouring commission into a complete 10-wall restaurant transformation.
While working on a large-scale mural project for Blind Tiger Pubs at Preston station, the restaurant next door approached us about creating artwork for its interior. What began as a single mural quickly developed into a much larger commission, with Urban Gypset extending the stay in Preston to create a complete hand-painted scheme across 10 walls.
With only three days available, the project required rapid creative development, local sourcing, wall preparation and overnight installation. Working directly within the restaurant, we developed and adapted the artwork around the existing space before hand-painting the finished murals from start to finish.
The result was a vibrant Japanese-inspired interior featuring koi, dragons, waves, cherry blossoms and geisha imagery, completely transforming the restaurant and giving the space a distinctive visual identity.
A challenging commission, delivered at speed, without compromising the quality or character of the artwork.
Claremont Social Tap House — Shrewsbury
A bespoke spray-painted mural scheme created by Urban Gypset for Amber Taverns through Star Pubs & Bars. Featuring butterflies, botanical skulls, moths and character artwork, the murals were designed throughout the interior to work with the architecture and distinctive atmosphere of the venue.
Queen Vic Pub Murals — Newcastle
A complete interior mural scheme created for The Queen Vic in Newcastle, combining large-scale artwork, textured wall finishes and distinctive painted details throughout the venue.
We worked with the character of the existing space to create a series of connected murals across feature walls, pillars and smaller areas of the pub. The result is a bold, atmospheric interior where the artwork works alongside the architecture, furniture and lighting.
